Renshi John Marshall
5th Degree Black Belt
- 1989 - Attained rank of Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt)
- 1991 - Awarded Adult Black Belt Rookie of the Year title
- 1992 - Inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame for outstanding contribution to the Martial Arts, diligent study and instruction of the Martial Arts.
- 1994-1996 - Member of the World Karate Association Canadian National Team. Member of the International Amateur Sport Karate Association Canadian National Team competing in Canada, Denmark and Germany, winning silver and bronze medals.
- 2001 - Head Coach of the Canadian National Team competing in Ireland
- 2004 - Achieved the rank of Godan (5th Degree Black Belt) by the World Karate Federation, in association with the Wado Kai and Armie Rizzo
- 2004 - Coach of 3 World Champion competitors at Super Grands World Games in Myrtle Beach
- 2006 - Created a Martial Arts based Physical Health and Safety program in accordance with the Thames Valley District School Board guidelines to use karate as a physical activity and to help prevent bullying in schools. Currently in the process of implementing this program in TVDSB elementary schools.
